Come to WPFD in Brisbane
In a first for Australia and the Pacific region, the University of Queensland will host the World Press Freedom Day celebration on May 2-3 2010.
The university's St Lucia campus in Brisbane, Queensland, is considered by many to be Australia's most attractive. Located seven kilometres from the city heart on a 114-hectare site in a bend of the Brisbane River, the campus has expansive landscaped grounds surrounding the National Trust-listed Great Court.
The theme of this year's WPFD conference is Freedom of Information: the Right to Know. It will focus on freedom of information and media freedom issues worldwide, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.
There is no conference registration fee to pay. This is a UN conference and attendance is, therefore, free of charge for registered delegates. Use the links below to register for the event through UNESCO headquarters:
We look forward to seeing you.
